Love my food, nothing will ever change that! Since I have been with Marky I have found a love for cooking. Mark really enjoys cooking big old fashioned one pot meals, spaghetti bolognese, stews and stovies from his Scottish roots.
I like using my slow cooker to make curries, chilli and stews. Find them so simple to just throw everything in before going to work and then dinner is ready when we get home from work. Some days after work I have no inspiration to cook anything, I work in a school and am also doing my teacher training degree so most evenings I am studying late, cooking a meal is the last thing I want to do!!
I plan our meals weekly and only shop for what is on that list, we rarely have chocolate and treats in the house. I buy all our meat on a Saturday from the butchers, the prices that supermarkets charge for meat covered in fat is disgusting, I don't understand why people don't buy from a butcher, better quality and they aren't expensive like people believe.
The thing I really need to get my head around is eating fruit, Mark has a banana every morning as he is leaving for work and I rarely eat one piece a day!
Tonight I have got some of my recipe books out and I plan to make a list of meals I want to make in the coming months, so on with it!
